“We want to lead the way, so we chose Plant”
“We want to work proactively and put sustainability ambitions into practice from the early stages. Plant gives us exactly that. We want to lead the way, which is why we chose Plant,” says Catrin Heincke, Section Manager for Energy & Environment at PE Teknik & Arkitektur.
Plant’s software has supported construction and property companies with climate calculations since 2017. Pelle Tunell, CEO and co-founder of Plant, welcomes engineering consultancies joining too:
“When everyone can work in the same tool, regardless of their role or whether they are a property company, contractor or consultant, it creates an entirely new level of collaboration. Calculations become comparable, analyses become sharper and sustainability becomes an integral part of decision-making,” says Pelle Tunell.
Clarity and transparency in climate data
Transparency was a key reason PE Teknik & Arkitektur chose Plant. The system immediately shows where errors occur when a model is imported, making it easier to maintain traceability and avoid mistakes.
“With Plant, we can see where errors are, which is crucial for us. It creates a more educational approach that supports learning. We can understand the model, see where building components are located and learn at the same time,” says Catrin.
Whole life cycle and NollCO₂: essential features
PE Teknik & Arkitektur actively works on projects seeking NollCO₂ certification and therefore needs to calculate the entire life cycle, including stages A, B and C.
“Plant’s whole-life-cycle offering is essential for us. It enables us to meet our customers’ requirements,” says Catrin.
Concept makes early-stage climate calculations accessible
With a licence for Plant’s Concept tool, PE Teknik & Arkitektur can now support customers from the earliest project stages.
“We want to play an active role early in projects, when we can have the greatest influence. Concept makes it straightforward to experiment with different solutions and understand climate impact before construction begins,” Catrin continues.
