Integrations between Plant’s climate calculation tool and Byggvarubedömningen’s Logbook tool will allow information to be shared and enriched.

“We are pleased about the strong partnership we have now established with Byggvarubedömningen. One thing we have in common is that we both collect data on materials and quantities. Plant obtains its data from the building’s BIM model. Integrating the two systems allows us to extend verification and compare our data to ensure it is consistent. At Plant, the data quality of our climate calculations always comes first,” says Pelle Tunell, CEO of Plant.

Hannes Morger, CEO of Byggvarubedömningen, believes the collaboration will make it easier for construction and property companies to make informed, sustainable choices.

“Our member companies and customers have long wanted to create a Logbook from a BIM model and use our Logbook tool to see products’ carbon footprints alongside their environmental assessments. Sharing information between systems adds value for customers and opens the way for more collaborations in the future,” says Hannes Morger, CEO of Byggvarubedömningen.

The ambition is to complete an initial integration later this year, during the third quarter.

The collaboration is part of efforts to make the industry more digital and avoid duplicate reporting and extra work. Building smart connections between the two systems can increase automation and thereby reduce costs for construction and property companies.
