“I can proudly say that we now have world-leading climate calculation software,” says Pelle Tunell, CEO and co-founder of Plant.

Eight years ago, the brothers from Tierp launched their first climate calculation software for construction. Since then, it has continuously developed around the needs of a growing customer base. That development has culminated in this updated version of Concept, rolled out to customers during the autumn.

Five distinct reasons to choose Concept

  1. Make sustainable decisions throughout the process, from feasibility study to completed building.
  2. Transfer results seamlessly between project stages.
  3. Compare designs, materials, building systems and scenarios and obtain useful decision support in a few clicks.
  4. Analyse climate data directly from 3D models and cost estimates, switching smoothly between them.
  5. Invite different stakeholders, including clients, sustainability specialists, contractors, consultants and architects, to increase collaboration. The tool requires no specialist knowledge or advanced training.

“Concept creates an entirely new level of collaboration and makes sustainability a natural part of everyday work throughout the built environment sector,” says John Sjulander, co-founder of Plant.

Alongside its core features, Concept offers add-on modules for common needs. Customers can:

  • Easily create climate declarations with verified quantities.
  • Calculate the entire life cycle, from stage A to stage D.
  • Certify projects under Miljöbyggnad, Svanen, NollCO₂ and BREEAM.
  • Calculate circularity and compare the effects of reuse, new construction and preservation.

“For corporate groups, it also offers the opportunity to gather all calculations in one place, providing comparability, a complete overview and the ability to focus climate optimisation on the right things,” Pelle concludes.
