The construction and property sector accounts for just over a fifth of Sweden’s climate impact and almost 40% of global carbon dioxide emissions. Plant and Myrspoven are both established in Sweden and are now targeting European expansion. Both have developed solutions that use modern software to reduce the industry’s emissions.

“Plant is ready to scale up. We have grown significantly in Sweden, and 50% of Sweden’s largest property companies now choose Plant for climate calculations. Experience from all these construction projects has expanded our knowledge and sharpened our software. Being recognised in Europe alongside PropTech pioneer Myrspoven is naturally exciting at this stage,” says Pelle Tunell, CEO of Plant.

“Property companies face enormous challenges and need to reduce climate impact drastically. After mainly working with Swedish property owners, we are now actively entering Europe to achieve our vision of reducing buildings’ CO2 footprint by 1% globally. We need more PropTech solutions than our own to succeed together, so it is good to see other Swedish companies recognised. We wish Plant the best of luck in Brussels,” says Anders Kallebo, CEO of Myrspoven.

On 19 and 20 September, Plant and Myrspoven will pitch their solutions live to the international jury in Brussels. The winner will be announced on 20 September at the PropTech Startup & Scaleup Europe Awards Ceremony. Four Swedish PropTech companies have progressed in the competition; Nornorm and Hydda are the other two.
